World Oral Health Day

On the 20th March, over 130 countries will be involved in promoting good oral health and hygiene for World Oral Health Day. What better opportunity is there to encourage your employees to look after their oral health, minimise risk factors and maintain a good oral hygiene routine?

In a survey conducted by YouGov on behalf of Simplyhealth Professionals, we found that 83% of people agree that poor oral health can have a significant impact on your overall general health, while 73% agree that signs of serious diseases and illnesses can be detected in the mouth by a dentist.

We already recognise the importance of prevention through a good oral health regime, including regular dental appointments. But we also know that oral health has direct links to overall health and wellbeing. Good oral health impacts on our ability to perform basic functions, such as eating, speaking and smiling, as well as the health of our bodies.

So join us in supporting World Oral Health Day and help your employees feel good about more than just their smile! Posters are available to download and hang in break out areas. Make use of the #WOHD2017 and #LiveMouthSmart on social media and for any other information, contact your Simplyhealth account manager to see how we can help maintain your employees’ excellent oral health!
